Cryptocurrency Equipment Storehouse found in Alborz

Iran’s chief of police force announced the discovery of a large warehouse of cryptocurrency mining equipment worth 28 billion rials, IRNA news agency reported.

Following the investigations carried out by the headquarters of fighting smuggling goods and currency, the Alborz police department located a large stockpile of cryptocurrency mining equipment, Brigadier General Abbas-Ali Mohammadian said in an IRNA interview on January 13, 2019.

An apprehended suspect has confessed that he was the mediator and the seller of these devices but not the owner, Abbas-Ali Mohammadian revealed.

Mohammadian stated the Police officers located the real owner’s house at the north-west of Tehran and successfully arrested him.

They have found 291 mining device, 2 point of sales and so many bills of mining devices.

According to the report, the police have found 291 cryptocurrency mining devices, 2 POS devices, and a large number of sale receipts.
