crypto mining malware discovered by the ministry of communication

The network security officer of Iran announced the discovery of malware in Iranian markets and said:

These malwares operate without the users’ authority with the aim of advertising and cryptocurrency mining.

According to IBNA news agency, the ICT minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi visited the space research institute and asserted that the Payam Satellite will be completed and delivered by Friday.

He also discussed the latest state of banned smartphones and declared the minister of industry was assigned to take action in this regard.

Azari Jahromi also talked about using spatial data in applicable sections and the latest report presented by MAHER center on malware detected in Iranian markets:

The “MAHER” center warned markets of the outbreak of a digital currency pickup malware, using the resources of infected systems to mine cryptocurrency.

He continued:

Of course, markets are not legally supposed to consider this announcement unless we will fil a lawsuit and complain, consequently requiring them to eliminate the malware.
